45-Day Returns & Refunds

Eligible items may be returned within 45 days after delivery under our Returns & Refunds Policy. A compatible cartridge that is not recognized on first installation qualifies for your choice of a full refund or no-cost replacement when both installation and reporting occur within that window, after reasonable troubleshooting. A full refund includes the product price and applicable tax; original shipping charges are not refunded. The cartridge must be returned using the prepaid label we provide. We issue the refund or ship the replacement after the return receives its first carrier acceptance scan. If a replacement is unavailable, we issue the full refund.

3-Year Limited Warranty

Cartra products include a 3-year limited warranty for eligible manufacturing and print-quality defects, subject to the terms presented when you purchase. The warranty excludes normal toner depletion, expected wear, and improper storage or handling. For orders placed on or after August 18, 2026, first-install chip-recognition coverage is limited to cartridges installed and reported within 45 days after delivery. Printer firmware or program changes after that window are not covered, but unrelated eligible defects retain their three-year coverage. Replacement is the default remedy after reasonable troubleshooting and return with our prepaid label. If replacement is unavailable or impractical, Cartra refunds the affected product price and applicable tax; original shipping is not refunded. For a multipack, the remedy ordinarily covers only the defective cartridge. A replacement is covered for the longer of the original warranty's remaining term or 90 days after replacement delivery. 90A is the standard-yield cartridge for this series. 90X is the high-yield sibling for the same printers, at 24,000 pages. If you print often, use the compatible HP 90X (CE390X).

HP+ and Instant Ink are separate HP programs with cartridge requirements that do not support Cartra compatible toner.
