HP 508A vs 508X

Cartra Tech |

hp 508a vs 508x — same HP color toner family for the same printers. The only real difference is page yield (and cost per page).

508A (CF360A set) is the standard-yield color 4-pack — black about 6,000 pages; cyan / magenta / yellow about 5,000 each. Buy this when you print lightly.

508X (CF360X set) is the high-yield color 4-pack — black about 12,500 pages; colors about 9,500 each. Same fit. Fewer swaps. Better cost per page if the printer runs often.

Printers Color LaserJet Enterprise M552 / M553; MFP M577

Not 507A / 312A / 202A. Read the label on the cartridge already in the printer. 508A and 508X are different yield lines for the same machines.

We sell a compatible 508A color 4-pack and a compatible 508X color 4-pack, chips installed.

When to buy which: replace toner more than a couple of times a year, or print color often → start with 508X (roughly 2× the pages). Occasional color → 508A is enough. If the label already says 508X / CF360X, stay on high yield unless you intentionally want fewer pages per cartridge.
